Recently I have seen many unethical brands promote a new product as Vegan in a bid to appeal to the growing conscious consumer. It can be misleading as many would presume this means the product is cruelty free too.
Vegan by definition means that a product or item does not contain any ingredients derived from an animal for example bees wax, carmine or keratin. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the product is cruelty free, the ingredients and product could still have been tested on animals.
Cruelty free means that the product and its ingredients are not tested on animals. The product can then apply for leaping bunny certification. We will only ever stock truly cruelty free products where the brands are not owned by a parent company that takes part in unethical practices and animal testing.
